Keep a camp kitchen checklist readable
Write down the meals you plan to prepare and list the equipment and ingredients each one needs. Check labels and storage guidance for food, and plan how items will be kept and handled at the site.
Separate equipment from consumables, and mark which items must be packed before leaving home. Keep the list short enough to use while packing. Follow the campground’s current fire, fuel and food-storage rules.
After the trip, record what was missing or unnecessary. A dated checklist helps distinguish a one-time need from something you routinely use, and makes the next packing decision easier.
